Whitetail Deer Hunting Oppurtunites

California has the Columbia Whitetail that it shares with Oregon that is a subspecies of the whitetail deer acrross the east. They auctually migrated down through old Mexico then back up the California where there size was built to match their enviorment along the Pacific coast. Colorado has a growing population of Whitetail mostly along the river bottoms of the eastern plains.

Alabama has the eastern Whitetail, while Arizona has the Coues Deer a Whitetail Sub-Species, Alaska has no whitetail deer.(The Sitka Blacktail Deer is a sub-species of a Mule Deer and listd under the Mule Deer Section.

All three states have free ranging whitetail along with the option of high fenced whitetail deer as well.

Georgia and Idaho are both known for their whitetail hunting opportunities. Hawaii has Blacktail a sub-species of the mule deer released in the islands many, many years ago.

All three stses are not only good whitetail states but Iowa and Illinois are know as number 1 and number 2 in recording the most record book whitetail deer each year.

The Kansas Whitetail are known for the enormus size, Kentucky and Lousiana whitetail are a smaller animal.

The things that build big deer is genes, weather needs, food sources and finally age. The old kansas corn field bucks grow massive if allowed to grow from 6-8 years old.

The eastern states with more cover than the western states make bow hunting more successful. That same cover allow the bucks to escape being shot longer. These 3 states are know for corn, alfafa and soybeans which are 7-30% protien which build fat, as insulation against the cold and strong body mustle in deer.
